LYNCHBURG, VIRGINIA is only 25 miles away (less to the South East side) and accessible by good roads from several directions.
Drive time is 25 to 40 minutes depending on where you are going in town.
Air Service from the regional airport, code LYH, South of the city, has connector jet service to major hubs in the region and commuter flights to the Washington DC area.
Private aviation service is available from LYH and Falwell Airport as well as a new local runway without amenities (Brookneal).
Train and bus service are also available from the same central city location on Park Avenue.
Malls and shopping centers are sprinkled throughout the city.
